Growing Pains
When you are in a new place
But you still feel the same
You don’t fit into the mold
So, you stretch until you break
The pieces fall around you
You try to pick them up
You glue them back together
And the feeling kind of sucks
Growing pains
They won't go away
They say this is good
But I am tired of the way
That I am feeling all the time
The fatigue in my mind
Overwhelms and overthrows
The rhythm of my life
They say
Looking back it will be good
I’ll be happy for the change
So for the time being
I look up towards outer space
The comets and the stars
The planets and their orbits
Scholars say they’ve shifted far
From their predisposed origin
So did the objects of the heavens
Also feel the pain
That is always consequential
Of a personal change
Life necessitates
Growth to survive
So even when it sucks
Growing pains help us to strive
